The exceptional life and career of 84-year-old U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who has developed a breath-taking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon.

Without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior's rise to the nation's highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans. What emerges is an intriguing portrait of a woman described as shy and retiring but with “a quiet magnetism,” a work horse and a master legal strategist. The film gives due credit to her late husband, Marty, a successful tax lawyer who supported her at every turn. ‘RBG’ is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg 's exceptional life and career. It is a homage by two women filmmakers that flies perilously close to idolatry, but when you watch this you will see why Bader Ginsburg deserves the star treatment.
